BH Airlines, the flag carrier of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), suspended flights between Sarajevo and Istanbul over a lack of passengers, local media reported Wednesday.
The company, owned by the government of Federation of BiH (FBiH), has suspended air tickets sales since last week, Amir Jazic, director of BH Airlines, was quoted as saying.
A number of flights from Sarajevo to Istanbul were canceled due to lack of passengers, Jazic noted, adding that the company had turned to the FBiH government for a solution.
Though the number of travelers to BiH has increase, BH Ailrlines were faced with stiff competition from Turkish Airlines and other carriers, local media reported.
