Albania on Thursday agreed to enhance scientific cooperation with the European Union (EU), local media reported.
Albanian Assembly ratified a program named "Horizon 2020 - Research and Innovation Program," which was proposed by the EU for the purpose of enhancing technological research and development between the two sides, according to Albanian Telegraphic Agency.
The program, funded by the EU, is also expected to boost innovation research projects in the country through its cooperation with the EU, the report said.
The ratification of the program is also important for Albania's bid for the EU membership, as Albania is making its best efforts to join the regional bloc, the report said.
