A press announcement published after their meeting with Aleksandar Vucic reads that the ruling parliamentary group in the German parliament, CDU/CSU supports Serbia in conducting necessary reforms as well in its commitment to join EU.

"Deputy Parliament leader Andreas Schockenhoff showed understanding for political and economic hardships that Serbia is facing", release reads, mentioning fiscal deficit, consequences of heavy floods that hit Serbia in mid-May and the damages they made to country's energy sector as some of the biggest problems.

At their meeting with Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic, Andreas Schockenhoff explained that the two representatives of the German parliament visited Serbia to show that "the cooperation is important not only in the eve of big decisions, but during the whole course of European Integrations".

Among the topics of the meetings was progress of Serbia in fulfilling Chapters of the EU acquisition concerning judiciary and human rights as well as the status of Kosovo.
