Albania and Romania have determined to further develop their economic cooperation and promote investment in energy sector, the Albanian Telegraphic Agency reported.
"Albania and Romania has entered a new stage of economic cooperation," said Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta, quoted by Albanian Telegraphic Agency.
The PM made the remarks on Thursday during a meeting with the visiting Albanian delegation in Bucharest headed by Albanian Economy Minister Arben Ahmetaj.
The meeting was mainly focused on Albania's new economic model, the agenda of structural reforms that the government is committed to undertake, the agreements reached with IMF and the World Bank and in particular, foreign investments.
Minister Ahmetaj assessed the so far cooperation between the two countries, stressing that "this is the best moment to move to concrete projects".
The Albanian delegation also held separate meetings with the Romanian Ministers in charge of Economy, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Business Climate and Tourism. In the talks with the Energy Minister, they discussed about investment projects in the fields of energy, export and modernization of energy system.
