The Council reinforced EU sanctions focused on the freezing and recovery of misappropriated Ukrainian state funds.
Yesterday's decision targets four additional persons identified as responsible for such misappropriation whose assets within the European Union will be frozen. This brings the total number of persons subject to an EU asset freeze in connection with embezzlement of Ukrainian public funds to 22.
The legal acts, including the list of persons subject to sanctions, will be published in today's edition of the EU Official Journal.
